Canteen Mural

During Term 4, 2012 Mrs Lister began the painting of the Healthy Food mural on the back wall of the canteen. Mr Allatt assisted with the preparation of the wall to make sure it was ready for painting. Children from throughout the stages were enlisted to contribute to the mural. The artistic efforts of past student, Shannon MacDonald, were also put to good use while she was revisiting our school for work experience. Mrs Taylor and Mrs Richards applied their talents to the banana tree, the cockatoo and the grapevine. Mrs Graham was diligent in photographing all the stages of the project so a true record could be kept and shared with the school community, but …… unfortunately technology let her down when all the photos were lost when her mobile phone died before the photos could be uploaded to the computer! The moral to the story is “ always save photos to your sim card not to your phone”. Not to be defeated so easily Mrs Graham took more photos of the finished wall during the holiday break. Apologies are extended to all those who worked so hard in the heat to produce such a beautiful mural, as you will not appear in the following photos, but we are truly grateful for your efforts and would like to thank you.
