Josh's Volcano
Thankyou to Joshua and his family for sending in this video of Joshua's Volcano erupting. It is great to have students who are so keen on learning that they complete extra tasks at home. Well done Josh, we are very proud of your efforts!
During guided reading, students in 1/2D had been focusing on information texts and procedures. Joshua requested a photocopy of the procedure for making a volcano from the book 'Try This'. He then conducted the experiment at home. The following is a video of his experiment.
1/2H Rainbow Fish
1/2H have been reading 'The Rainbow Fish'. The Rainbow Fish is an award-winning children's book drawn and written by Marcus Pfister, and translated into English by J. Alison James. The book is best known for its morals about the value of being an individual and for the distinctive shiny foil scales of the Rainbow Fish.

KL Cooking Class
Students in KL have been learning how to write procedures. Here are some photos of them cooking pikelets in class. I wonder if any of them will become chefs one day?
Here are the ingredients.
Grace and George are mixing the flour and sugar.
Jayla stirs the egg so the white and yolk are mixed.
Jack mixes the flour and sugar.
Annabel is going to use the whisk to make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
Kai is holding the egg lifter. Some people call it a spatula.
Ready to serve!
